Space Age Technology… Surprisingly Affordable

Now, the same technology developed by the aerospace industry to strip exotic composites like graphite/epoxy and Kevlar is available at THE STRIP JOINT.

Imagine gently blasting paint away from hard surfaces with soft plastic granules. Seem incredible?
That’s exactly what Plastic Media Blasting is all about. We use soft, recyclable plastic granules to remove paint from a variety of surfaces. We carefully match the type of plastic granules, air pressure, and application techniques to the surface being stripped.

With this flexibility, we can safely strip everything from softer material, such as fiberglass, to high strength steel, without damaging the substrate. We can strip virtually any surface that we can reach with our equipment. The number of places Plastic Media Blasting can be used is limited only by your imagination.

Precision removal of paint and other coatings from aluminum and steel without pitting, stretching, warping, or metal loss.

Environmentally Safe
Plastic Media Blasting is environmentally safer than conventional paint removal methods for several reasons:
First we don’t use hazardous chemicals in our process. Thus, we don’t create the paint contaminants from the plastic. Thus, we don’t create the environmental or health hazards usually associated with such chemicals.

Next, we clean and reuse the plastic blasting media. In doing so, we remove the paint contaminants from the plastic. This procedure eliminates the disposal of toxic waste which can occur with traditional sand blasting.

Third, we use recycled plastic to help reduce pollution and over-crowded landfills.

Finally, Plastic Media Blasting is performed inside our building, in a controlled environment, with our technicians wearing protective clothing and respirators during the blasting process.

There are no uncontrolled airborne contaminants free to endanger the health of our employees or contaminate the environment.
